Júnior Prado made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Angelo Txeru sent off a good shot on target. Gugu Faustino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alberto Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Marinho having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Gugu Faustino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in AC Baloscova's zone, Luciano Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivo Marinho came out of the goal and Luciano Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ivo Marinho came out of the goal and Alberto Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, AC Baloscova's Didi Loureiro got a free kick in the 44th minute. Luciano Vander recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half CRISTO REI DOS REIS were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
