Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henrique Mendes started the match with the kick off. Alfredão Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Angelo Arruda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th match minute, Pedreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Mendes to maneuver through the defense. Cauã Maranhense kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Alfredão Sabóia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pedreiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfredão Sabóia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alfredão Sabóia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Angelo Arruda made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Alfredão Sabóia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Angelo Arruda. That made the score 1-0 in the 18 minute of play. Alfredão Sabóia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angelo Arruda having to interfere. In the 28th minute, Edson Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Rondonopolis E. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. A hard shot 31 in the game by Alfredão Sabóia from a close distance when the talented Angelo Arruda managed to make a qualified save. Rondonopolis E. C.'s players were relieved. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Alfredão Sabóia sped through Rondonopolis E. C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angelo Arruda. Rondonopolis E. C.'s Angelo Arruda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Henrique Mendes in the 35th minute of play. After 37 played minutes Rondonopolis E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Válter Palmeira. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredão Sabóia got free with Angelo Arruda in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Henrique Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Válter Palmeira struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Vivaldo de Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rondonopolis E. C.. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Edson Sousa made the kick off in the second half. Alfredão Sabóia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Válter Palmeira scored 2-2 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vivaldo de Medeiros, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Sousa in the 61st minute of play forced Pedreiro's goalkeeper Vivaldo de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henrique Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelo Arruda. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, Alfredão Sabóia notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Rondonopolis E. C.'s Angelo Arruda. Angelo Arruda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rondonopolis E. C.'s Márcio de Toledo was substituted for Kaká Sousa. In the 71stth minute of the game Márcio de Toledo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pedreiro's Vivaldo de Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Pedreiro's goal looked a bit too open when Edson Sousa came free, but Vivaldo de Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alfredão Sabóia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angelo Arruda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. After 82 played minutes Rondonopolis E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Baiano. If Alfredão Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eriberto Antunes during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edson Sousa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 92ndth minute tested the skills of Vivaldo de Medeiros when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 93rd match minute, Pedreiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Martins to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Henrique Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute Márcio de Toledo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vivaldo de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Pedreiro had won after a very even match.
