In the 5th minute Robert Mellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Róbson Loyola saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 6 minutes into the game, Dadá Mendes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Birutas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 大胆さと喜び the free kick. After a rather tough play, Birutas's Dadá Mendes got a free kick in the 6th minute. Ramón de Godoy took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Róbson Loyola. Birutas's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Róbson Loyola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Robert Mellberg's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. In the 11th match minute, Birutas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcos Guedes to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mané Peres in the 13th minute of play forced 大胆さと喜び's goalkeeper Luiz Paulo Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tiago Marinho scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Róbson Loyola, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Birutas booed when 大胆さと喜び was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Luís Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 大胆さと喜び's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Mané Peres scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Paulo Brodel, making the score, 1-1. Róbson Loyola showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Marinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Deivid do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Luiz Paulo Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in 大胆さと喜び's zone, Mané Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luiz Paulo Brodel came out of the goal and Mané Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Renatinho Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Deivid do Vale kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute. Though ot was a great shot 大胆さと喜び's keeper Luiz Paulo Brodel was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tiago Marinho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Robert Mellberg took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Róbson Loyola. Róbson Loyola dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. If Robert Mellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Mané Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Birutas's Deivid do Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute Deivid do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Paulo Brodel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rogério Costa charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogério Costa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rogério Costa kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 大胆さと喜び's Luiz Paulo Brodel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mané Peres in the 86th minute of play. Mané Peres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Robert Mellberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Róbson Loyola tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 大胆さと喜び's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
