Luizinho Recife made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldão Varela in the 33rd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Heltai Sports's Cauã Soeiro got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 40th minute, Ronaldão Varela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nuno Cordeiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lauro Cordeiro went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. During the 45th minute of the match Flavinho de Andrade completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Flavinho de Andrade a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game.

Arthur Hermes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 55 minutes, Ronaldão Varela managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. sao paulo fc's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronaldão Varela was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Heltai Sports's Luizinho Recife played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeca Proença in the 56th minute of play. After having played for 58 minutes, Arthur Hermes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heltai Sports's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur Hermes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cauã Soeiro took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Nuno Cordeiro. Nuno Cordeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Cauã Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Cordeiro having to interfere. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Heltai Sports's goalkeeper Luizinho Recife, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luizinho Recife showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldão Varela in the 70th minute of the match. Arthur Hermes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Nuno Cordeiro having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lauro Cordeiro during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Heltai Sports to win.
