Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) sSstronda FC's Afonso Penha started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. sSstronda FC's Diguinho Coutinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dedé Nascimento in the 5th minute of play. After 5 played minutes Matriz got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Mattos. Basílio Vaz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Penha's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Falcão da Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Basílio Vaz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Robinho Tasso hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. 2-0 became the score in the 25th minute when Afonso Penha elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Dedé Nascimento fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matriz's protests and gave Dedé Nascimento a yellow card for diving instead. In the 29th minute, Dedé Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute, Afonso Penha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Robinho Tasso fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matriz's protests and gave Robinho Tasso a yellow card for diving instead. Zé Augusto Dracena, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 41st minute, Robinho Tasso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Matriz fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Afonso Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Basílio Vaz made a huge save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dedé Nascimento to strike the kick off in the second half. Diguinho Coutinho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robinho Tasso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dé Brito during the 51st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dé Brito hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Diguinho Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedé Nascimento in the 54th minute of play. In the 56th minute, Matriz's Dedé Nascimento ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Diguinho Coutinho. Diguinho Coutinho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. Diguinho Coutinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Nascimento in the 59th minute of the match. Diguinho Coutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dedé Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Diguinho Coutinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedé Nascimento in the 65th minute of play. Dedé Nascimento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Diguinho Coutinho came out and tried to block the shot, but Dedé Nascimento slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 67th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Zé Augusto Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. sSstronda FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Augusto Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Basílio Vaz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 76 played minutes Matriz got a freekick which was hit by Aílton Quadros. In the 80th minute Afonso Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Basílio Vaz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Basílio Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Godoi in the 81st minute of the match. With 83 minutes on the clock, Dé Brito commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of sSstronda FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Matriz:s goal. In the 85th minute there was a penalty for Matriz. Nilmar Britto stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Diguinho Coutinho. 2-4. Afonso Penha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Basílio Vaz having to make a save. If Afonso Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 95 minutes of play Matriz's Robinho Tasso was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 96th minute, Robinho Tasso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Matriz were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over sSstronda FC's much stronger midfield.
