Alexsandro da Cunhas short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Filipe Romero to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 15th minute Enrique da Rocha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvério Prado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 16th of the match, Ismael Tinoco tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Filipe Romero got in the way and made a wonderful save. After a defensive mix-up in Marimbas's zone, Alexsandro da Cunha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Romero came out of the goal and Alexsandro da Cunha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Filipe Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Vasconcelos in the 20th minute of play. When Alfredinho Barreto fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PARMA FC's protests and gave Alfredinho Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, PARMA FC's Alfredinho Barreto got a free kick in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute, Alexsandro da Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Filipe Romero showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ismael Tinoco, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. If Ismael Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silvério Prado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique da Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Silvério Prado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guilherme Dante in the 37th minute of play. Ismael Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Romero having to interfere. PARMA FC's Silvério Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique da Rocha in the 44th minute of play. When PARMA FC's Ismael Tinoco in the 46th minute got a chance for a shot 46th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marimbas's goalie prevented a goal. Filipe Romero was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Alexsandro da Cunha showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 47 minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Enrique da Rocha was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Alfredinho Barreto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Guilherme Dante fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marimbas's protests and gave Guilherme Dante a yellow card for diving instead. 60 minutes into the game, PARMA FC's Ismael Tinoco nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Filipe Romero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Jeremias Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Romero having to interfere. Filipe Romero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ismael Tinoco in the 66th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Enrique da Rocha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Silvério Prado was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, PARMA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Geovani Bastos came free, but Silvério Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Ismael Tinoco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Alfredinho Barreto managed to get in a good position for a shot. PARMA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredinho Barreto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filipe Romero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Magno Vargas fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PARMA FC's protests and gave Magno Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. PARMA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alexsandro da Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ismael Tinoco took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Filipe Romero. Filipe Romero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. When the referee ended the match the PARMA FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
