Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) 3 minutes into the game, Wilson Catarinense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. E.C Bender's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marimbas the free kick. In the 3rd minute, Wilson Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nestor Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Filipe Romero tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Filipe Romero came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by E.C Bender's Nestor Nóbrega. But to his dismay, Nestor Nóbrega quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of E.C Bender booed when Marimbas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edu Dantas didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Miranda during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mazinho Loyola could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Fernandão Tande made a huge save. In the 24th minute, Enrique da Rocha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. E.C Bender's Fernandão Tande proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save E.C Bender from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Marimbas's Enrique da Rocha dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Filipe Romero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Miranda in the 38th minute of the match. Marimbas's Mazinho Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, E.C Bender's Fernandão Tande got control of the ball when Mazinho Loyola tried to sneak it across the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nestor Nóbrega to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Marimbas's Guilherme Dante got a free kick in the 57th minute. Nestor Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 67 played minutes Marimbas got a freekick which was hit by Enrique da Rocha. Fernandão Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Enrique da Rocha in the 69th minute of play. Enrique da Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernandão Tande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Enrique da Rocha ran back to his position shaking his head. 74 minutes into the match, E.C Bender's goal looked a bit too open when Enrique da Rocha came free, but Fernandão Tande reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in E.C Bender's zone, Enrique da Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernandão Tande came out of the goal and Enrique da Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 77 played minutes E.C Bender got a freekick which was hit by Wiliam Vianna. Filipe Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Miranda in the 80th minute. Enrique da Rocha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernandão Tande having to interfere. In the 90th minute of the match Douglas Bertassi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Fernandão Tande showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fernandão Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique da Rocha in the 93rd minute of the match. Filipe Romero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eduardo Miranda in the 97th minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
