Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Orlando Pereira got the match started through his kick off. 5 minutes into the match, Pebas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Orlando Pereira came free, but Jeferson Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cléber de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Seco having to interfere. Couves's Geovani Seco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cléber de Amorim in the 17th minute of play. In the 17th minute, Samuca Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 19 minutes into the match, Orlando Pereira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeferson Toscano. Pebas FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Pereira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Cléber de Amorim took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geovani Seco. Geovani Seco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Dênis Pena lost his temper 28 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sydney Penha in the 30th minute of play forced Pebas FC's goalkeeper Jeferson Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Cléber de Amorim came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Pebas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cléber de Amorim couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Couves's Orlando Pereira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jeferson Toscano. Jeferson Toscano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. After 41 played minutes Pebas FC got a freekick which was hit by Edmundo Koehler. Jeferson Toscano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orlando Pereira's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Pebas FC's Jeferson Toscano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Pebas FC from getting a goal against them. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucas de Brito to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Lucas de Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Geovani Seco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Couves booed when Pebas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmundo Koehler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Róbson Maia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Róbson Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Jeferson Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pebas FC's Jeferson Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubinho de Medeiros in the 61st minute of play. Jeferson Toscano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Couves's zone, Lucas de Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Seco came out of the goal and Lucas de Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute, Orlando Pereira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Couves fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 74 minutes into the match, Pebas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Róbson Maia came free, but Jeferson Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Pebas FC's Giuseppe Severo got a free kick in the 75th minute. Gustavo Faria hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Rubinho de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Jeferson Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Pebas FC booed when Couves was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fellipe Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Couves's Róbson Maia in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pebas FC's goalie prevented a goal. Pebas FC's Lucas de Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 87 minutes into the match, Lucas de Brito dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Geovani Seco, 3-2. Róbson Maia's late challenge caught a Pebas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Róbson Maia helped the player get up and apologised. When Pebas FC's Lucas de Brito in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Couves's goalie prevented a goal. Pebas FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
