The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Camarajibe:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Patamute SC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 5 minutes, Patamute SC's Alexandre Mangueira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rogério Valle. In the 7th match minute, Patamute SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jardel Pitta to maneuver through the defense. Percy de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adalmo Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Valle having to interfere. In the 16th minute of the match Donato França shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Conrado Castro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Hugo Britto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Conrado Castro having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Patamute SC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Britto came free, but Conrado Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute of the match Alexandre Mangueira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rogério Valle showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute Percy de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conrado Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percy de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Conrado Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Hugo Britto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Camarajibe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patamute SC the free kick. In the 37th match minute, Camarajibe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Britto to maneuver through the defense. In the 39th minute, Hugo Britto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Camarajibe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Percy de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adalmo Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Rogério Valle made a huge save. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 65 played minutes Patamute SC got a freekick which was hit by Serginho Tepedino. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ismael Sousa during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Adalmo Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luiz Paulo Sena took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rogério Valle. Rogério Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. After having played for 78 minutes, Adalmo Melo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patamute SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adalmo Melo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Paulo Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rogério Valle stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luiz Paulo Sena's shot from short distance in the 91st minute.
