The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Curaca EC's goalkeeper Emerson de Brito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cauã Mumbach got free with Emanuel Pontes in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Luisão Mumbach might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emanuel Pontes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisão Mumbach ran back to his position shaking his head. Macuna FC's Eurico Baptista managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Maurício Jacinto in the 22 minute of the game. In the 28th match minute, Macuna FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eurico Baptista to maneuver through the defense. When Macuna FC's Túlio Branco in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Curaca EC's goalie prevented a goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luisão Mumbach to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52ndth minute of the game Luisão Mumbach who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Macuna FC's Emanuel Pontes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Betinho Matorin made in the 55th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Macuna FC's Eurico Baptista. After 57 played minutes Macuna FC got a freekick which was hit by Eurico Baptista. If Cauã Mumbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Túlio Branco struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Emerson de Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Macuna FC. Macuna FC's Túlio Branco got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Maurício Jacinto made in the 78th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pedro Augusto Breckenfeld. When Luisão Mumbach fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Curaca EC's protests and gave Luisão Mumbach a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd match minute, Curaca EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luisão Mumbach to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute, Reinaldo Perez made a precise shot to the right of Emerson de Brito. Curaca EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1.
