Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Cuo's Ulisses Rossi started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th match minute, Mamoeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frédson Linhares to maneuver through the defense. Cuo's Manolo Baiano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Monteiro in the 8th minute of play. Wilton Massa hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Manolo Baiano didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ramiro Braga went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ramiro Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Manolo Baiano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ramiro Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Cuo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilton Massa to maneuver through the defense. Manolo Baiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Monteiro in the 21st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sérgio Cunha got free with José Augusto Lopes in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute, André Zilles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Mamoeiro booed when Cuo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulisses Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. José Augusto Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Cuo's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Monteiro came free, but Manolo Baiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sérgio Cunha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Augusto Lopes having to interfere. José Augusto Lopes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sérgio Cunha in the 48th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ramiro Braga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Sérgio Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sérgio Cunha in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Augusto Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 60 minutes, Ulisses Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd match minute, Mamoeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernani Rosado to maneuver through the defense. When Cuo's Ulisses Rossi in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mamoeiro's goalie prevented a goal. José Augusto Lopes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sérgio Cunha in the 68th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Vivaldo Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mamoeiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Vivaldo Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Manolo Baiano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ramiro Braga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vivaldo Monteiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Manolo Baiano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 76th minute, Afonsinho da Silva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Manolo Baiano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ramiro Braga's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. In the 85th minute, Vivaldo Monteiro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Manolo Baiano, passed just outside the right post. After a rather tough play, Mamoeiro's Beto Silva got a free kick in the 89th minute. If Ramiro Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
