The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Genílson Paranaense showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Emílio Antunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Malwee Jaraguá's Emílio Antunes got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renatinho Dracena got free with Genílson Paranaense in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Genílson Paranaense didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Renatinho Dracena went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Emílio Antunes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Genílson Paranaense was relentless in the 17th minute of the game. In the 21st minute, Cássio Berger got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Malwee Jaraguá's Christiano Vergílio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cássio Berger in the 23rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emílio Antunes in the 25th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Genílson Paranaense saved Catanduva EC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Nestor Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malwee Jaraguá's supporters rose to their feet, but Nestor Linhares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Genílson Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emílio Antunes in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Genílson Paranaense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Renatinho Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 34 minutes into the match, Emílio Antunes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Genílson Paranaense, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Renatinho Dracena managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malwee Jaraguá's supporters rose to their feet, but Renatinho Dracena was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 40th minute of the match, Renatinho Dracena got a very nice opportunity to score, but Genílson Paranaense was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Genílson Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Antunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes had been played when some careless play by Catanduva EC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Nestor Linhares was slow to take the kick. During this time Malwee Jaraguá's players had a chance to rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cássio Berger stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Renatinho Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Genílson Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Renatinho Dracena had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genílson Paranaense. Catanduva EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Renatinho Dracena was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. When Ian Lopes fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catanduva EC's protests and gave Ian Lopes a yellow card for diving instead. Genílson Paranaense had in the 72ndth minute some difficulties stopping Nestor Linhares's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 75 minutes into the match, Emílio Antunes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Genílson Paranaense. Catanduva EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Emílio Antunes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. Eulalio Cheche's late challenge caught a Catanduva EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eulalio Cheche helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th minute, Eulalio Cheche hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Catanduva EC's Ian Lopes to fire away a dangerous shot which Christiano Vergílio despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Genílson Paranaense came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Malwee Jaraguá's Emílio Antunes. But to his dismay, Emílio Antunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Malwee Jaraguá's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
