When Juninho Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Tupacyguara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juninho Nunes couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Ramón Berger notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Juquia's Genílson Neto. Genílson Neto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Genílson Neto came out of the goal in the 20th minute to try and stop a shot by Tupacyguara's Juninho Nunes. But to his dismay, Juninho Nunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Genílson Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Berger in the 28th minute of play. But to his dismay, Juninho Nunes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. If Juninho Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ramón Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Genílson Neto having to interfere. Genílson Neto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Juninho Nunes went, in the 44th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-4.

The crowd rose to their feet as Tupacyguara's Caco Cavalcante slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Genílson Neto. Caco Cavalcante sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juninho Nunes scored 1-8 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Genílson Neto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the final whistle sounded Tupacyguara left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Juquia.
