The supporters of Arsenal FC booed when Ingaseiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caetano de Carvalho didn't get a good kick on the ball. Marcus Almeida received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hugo Lago came out and tried to block the shot, but Marcus Almeida slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. After some careless play in the Arsenal FC defense, Ronaldo Rocha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christiano Araújo. The Arsenal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christiano Araújo should have stopped the shot.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Rocha to make the kick off. In the 59th minute, Marcus Almeida ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hugo Lago was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Hugo Lago dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Hugo Lago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Almeida in the 87th minute of play forced Ingaseiro's goalkeeper Hugo Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87th minute, Válbson Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 90 minutes, Marcus Almeida mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal FC and the Ingaseiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. Marcus Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Percy Terra kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Christiano Araújo. That made the score 5-2 in the 98 minute of play.
