In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ingaseiro's goalkeeper Hugo Lago, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

51 minutes into the match, Ingaseiro's goalkeeper Hugo Lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ediberto Breckenfeld. Canastrao SC's Váldson Terra got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jerônimo Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Hugo Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Manfredo França made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Válbson Barreto in the 60th minute of play. Jerônimo Meira hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Geovânio Couto missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 72 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Manfredo França right hand side. Donato Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Hugo Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hugo Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Terra in the 88th minute of play. 91 minutes into the match, Canastrao SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Rocha came free, but Manfredo França reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hugo Lago made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ediberto Breckenfeld in the 92nd minute. Ediberto Breckenfeld could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Hugo Lago made a huge save. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Canastrao SC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
