After a defensive mix-up in Travessao FC's zone, Washington Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson Hermes came out of the goal and Washington Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fiori Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Custódio Salgado in the 5th minute of play. Chatinho's Fiori Galvão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Chatinho from getting a goal against them. Fiori Galvão made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Custódio Salgado sent off a good shot on target. Téo Velloso in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Fiori Galvão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Travessao FC's Lenílson Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson França in the 12th minute of play. Chatinho's attack was well implemented in the 16th minute, but when Jailson França was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Custódio Salgado's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Fiori Galvão skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 19 minutes into the game, Eusébio Paes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chatinho's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Travessao FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Chatinho's Eusébio Paes got a free kick in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Chatinho's goalkeeper Fiori Galvão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Custódio Salgado. When the match clock showed 22 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Custódio Salgado sped through Chatinho's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Fiori Galvão. Washington Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Custódio Salgados short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Fiori Galvão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Travessao FC's Lenílson Hermes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jailson França in the 30th minute of play. Téo Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiori Galvão having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Custódio Salgado lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Fiori Galvão. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Téo Velloso during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes Travessao FC got a freekick which was hit by Téo Velloso. Washington Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lenílson Hermes having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Travessao FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldo de Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. João Augusto de Toledo hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Pedro Luiz da Silveira kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 48 played minutes Travessao FC got a freekick which was hit by Ulisses de Almeida. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Custódio Salgado stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Travessao FC's zone, Jailson França stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lenílson Hermes came out of the goal and Jailson França tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59th minute, Ulisses de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 66 minutes into the match, Custódio Salgado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fiori Galvão. Chatinho's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Custódio Salgado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Percival Salles struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Lenílson Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chatinho. 76 minutes into the match, Travessao FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jailson França came free, but Lenílson Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Travessao FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Osvaldo de Alcântara hit a great ball. The supporters of Travessao FC booed when Chatinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson França didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jailson França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fiori Galvão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adriano Negri in the 95th minute of play. Téo Velloso got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Téo Velloso hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Travessao FC's Duarte da Rocha got a free kick in the 98th minute. Lenílson Hermes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geovanni Cardozo in the 99th minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Travessao FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Chatinho had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
