Manibu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodoro Soares blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adalberto Moreno having to make a save. Manibu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teodoro Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adalberto Moreno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Marquez in the 37th minute of play. Friburguense A. C.'s Adalberto Moreno proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Friburguense A. C. from getting a goal against them. If Teodoro Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 91st minute Ramón Marquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adalberto Moreno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chicão Rossi hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Manibu's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
