After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Allan Marinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pequery's supporters rose to their feet, but Allan Marinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseu Ortiz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pequery's Carlos Augusto Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcinho Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Eliseu Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Pequery got a freekick which was hit by David Linhares. In the 21st minute, Emerson Mumbach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Emerson Mumbach recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 28th minute, David Linhares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. David Linhares kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Pedrinho Meirelles successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Pedrinho Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murillo Paiva in the 33rd minute of the match. Marcinho Maciel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Eliseu Ortiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Germano Vidal charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Germano Vidal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Baluarte booed when Pequery was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Germano Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fábio Sena, 39 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 41st minute, Emerson Mumbach made a precise shot to the right of Pedrinho Meirelles. Pequery's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Augusto Nunes in the 44th minute of play forced Baluarte's goalkeeper Eliseu Ortiz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 46 minutes into the game, Pequery's Carlos Augusto Nunes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Eliseu Ortiz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Marcinho Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedrinho Meirelles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson Mumbach, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Pedrinho Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murillo Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Murillo Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. A collision led to Pequery getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Allan Marinho hit a great ball. Pequery's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murillo Paiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. David Linhares hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Baluarte's Emerson Mumbach got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baluarte's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
