Emanuel Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marcinho Maciel during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pequery's Marcinho Maciel got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Marcinho Maciel notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Valente SC's Gonçalo Salgado. Gonçalo Salgado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 16 minutes, Tadeu Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Valente SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeu Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gonçalo Salgado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Augusto Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 26th minute Sandro Fonseca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedrinho Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pequery's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Sandro Fonseca scored to the left of an out of position Pedrinho Meirelles, making the score, 1-1. Marcinho Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Salgado having to interfere. After 46 played minutes Pequery got a freekick which was hit by Allan Marinho. If Emanuel Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sandro Fonseca stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marcinho Maciel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carlos Augusto Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Vítor Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. It was beautiful to see Valente SC's Zeca Gonçalves in action when he in the 61st minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Pequery's Pedrinho Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sandro Fonseca in the 63rd minute of play. 64 minutes into the game, Allan Marinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pequery's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valente SC the free kick. Allan Marinho kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Sandro Fonseca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pedrinho Meirelles. Pequery's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sandro Fonseca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Marcinho Maciel who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Gonçalo Salgado when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After having played for 72 minutes, Marcinho Maciel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pequery's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcinho Maciel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedrinho Meirelles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sandro Fonseca in the 74th minute of play. Allan Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Gonçalo Salgado made a huge save. Marcinho Maciel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Salgado having to interfere. In a very dangerous position, a player in Pequery fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 83rd minute. Penalty! After 88 played minutes Valente SC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Moura. Marcinho Maciel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 98 minutes into the match, Pequery's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Berger came free, but Pedrinho Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Valente SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Pequery had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
