Urussuhy
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Carlos Alberto Queiroz got the match started through his kick off. In the 9th minute, Benedito Campidelis sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Urussuhy's Décio Paes didn't even have to move. Décio Paes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Décio Paes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Paulo Branco in the 14th minute of the match. Giuseppe Sanches hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 18th minute, João Paulo Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Décio Paes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 21st match minute, Urussuhy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Sanches to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paulo Branco in the 33rd minute of play forced Urussuhy's goalkeeper Décio Paes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Urussuhy's zone, Diego Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Décio Paes came out of the goal and Diego Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If João Paulo Branco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego Nascimento recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Laerte Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Queiroz in the 39th minute of play. After having played for 41 minutes, João Paulo Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Itaum AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Paulo Branco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Diego Nascimento might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Décio Paes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Nascimento ran back to his position shaking his head. Urussuhy's Romeu Barbosa couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Itaum AD. The Urussuhy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Itaum AD were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Paulo Branco was the one to do the kick off. If Carlos Alberto Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 52nd minute of the game, Paulo Mota landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jean Vinhas during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 55th minute, Angelo Ramalho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Alberto Queiroz struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Laerte Almeida didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Urussuhy. After some careless play in the Itaum AD defense, Carlos Alberto Queiroz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Laerte Almeida. The Itaum AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Laerte Almeida should have stopped the shot. Itaum AD's Diego Nascimento got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Alberto Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Almeida having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Itaum AD's zone, Carlos Alberto Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laerte Almeida came out of the goal and Carlos Alberto Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Urussuhy's Angelo Ramalho got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Alberto Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carlos Alberto Queiroz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Laerte Almeida having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Carlos Alberto Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Urussuhy's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Alberto Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Laerte Almeida breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Angelo Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Itaum AD succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Urussuhy had controlled the match.
