In the 27th minute, Dadá Gaspar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anísio Maranhense was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After a rather tough play, Pão de açúcar coraçãozin's Valdomiro Pombal got a free kick in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fernão Cunha during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 34 minutes into the match, Pão de açúcar coraçãozin's goalkeeper Anísio Maranhense had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dadá Gaspar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mário Simões got free with Anísio Maranhense in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anísio Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pão de açúcar coraçãozin's Anísio Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dadá Gaspar in the 42nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcinho Dias kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anísio Maranhense. That made the score 3-0 in the 44 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Téo Correia made the kick off in the second half. Anísio Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 67 played minutes, Hidrolandia's Christiano Dias shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anísio Maranhense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hidrolandia reached it. 69 minutes into the match, Pão de açúcar coraçãozin's goal looked a bit too open when Dadá Gaspar came free, but Anísio Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Gaspar in the 71st minute of play forced Pão de açúcar coraçãozin's goalkeeper Anísio Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mário Simões hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Anísio Maranhense was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dadá Gaspar in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Anísio Maranhense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Anísio Maranhense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Gaspar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dadá Gaspar took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Anísio Maranhense. Anísio Maranhense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hidrolandia fully deserved thier win.
