Leandro Loureiro's late challenge caught a Fructuoso AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leandro Loureiro helped the player get up and apologised. Fructuoso AD's Albertinho de Carvalho got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 30th minute Michel de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otávio das Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leandro Loureiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Pierre Lunt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the dragons defense, Albertinho de Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Otávio das Neves. The dragons fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Otávio das Neves should have stopped the shot. Otávio das Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertinho de Carvalho, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Pierre Lunt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leandro Loureiro in the 45th minute. Marcelinho Magalhães's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierre Lunt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albertinho de Carvalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Otávio das Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Hermes in the 53rd minute of play. Pierre Lunt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelinho Magalhães in the 60th minute of play. If Leandro Loureiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. Otávio das Neves didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Fructuoso AD's Albertinho de Carvalho shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-3 in the ordered_time% minute. Otávio das Neves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. If Albertinho de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the game, Marcelinho Magalhães cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Pierre Lunt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Fructuoso AD supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Fructuoso AD would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
