Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Engenhinho SS's Silas Galvão started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Waldemar Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Paranaense having to interfere. Claudinho Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido Coelho having to interfere. When Kiko Tavares fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Engenhinho SS's protests and gave Kiko Tavares a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Engenhinho SS getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Kiko Tavares hit a great ball. In the 26thth minute of the game Hélio Meira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Engenhinho SS's Gilberto Paranaense was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 27 minutes into the game, Wesley Queirós was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Engenhinho SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jaguarandi the free kick. Wesley Queirós hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. With his leg Gilberto Paranaense managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Jaguarandi's Waldemar Pinheiro fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Hélio Meira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wesley Queirós got his second yellow card in the match during the 34th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After a rather tough play, Engenhinho SS's Wesley Queirós got a free kick in the 34th minute. Waldemar Pinheiro who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Gilberto Paranaense when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Waldemar Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Jaguarandi's supporters rose to their feet, but Waldemar Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilberto Paranaense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 44 minutes, Waldemar Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jaguarandi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Pinheiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 46th play minute Waldemar Pinheiro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gilberto Paranaense. 1-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélio Meira to make the kick off. If Hélio Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jaguarandi's João Francisco Campidelis couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 57th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Engenhinho SS. Hélio Meira took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Paranaense. Gilberto Paranaense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Waldemar Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Jaguarandi booed when Engenhinho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Fabiano Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Paranaense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Pinheiro in the 72nd minute of play. Jaguarandi's Cido Coelho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Jaguarandi from getting a goal against them. If Hélio Meira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Meira in the 82nd minute of play forced Engenhinho SS's goalkeeper Gilberto Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th match minute, Jaguarandi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Cardoso to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Engenhinho SS's goal looked a bit too open when Waldemar Pinheiro came free, but Gilberto Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gilberto Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hélio Meira, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Jaguarandi walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
