The Buritirama SS fans' excitement grew in the 10th match minute when Buritirama SS's Dário Machado looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 15 minutes into the match, Montese AD's goal looked a bit too open when Guilherme Furtado came free, but Claudinho Silveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Dário Machado notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Montese AD's Claudinho Silveira. Claudinho Silveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eliseu Mazza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gilvan Simões in the 24th minute. If Oséas de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. In the 41st minute, Gilvan Simões got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Montese AD's Claudinho Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guilherme Furtado in the 43rd minute of play. After having played for 45 minutes, Dário Machado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Buritirama SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dário Machado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oséas de Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 53 played minutes Buritirama SS got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Castro. After a defensive mix-up in Buritirama SS's zone, Gilvan Simões stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseu Mazza came out of the goal and Gilvan Simões tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Oséas de Souza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseu Mazza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilvan Simões in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas de Souza in the 66th minute of play forced Buritirama SS's goalkeeper Eliseu Mazza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Oséas de Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliseu Mazza was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. Oséas de Souza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Eliseu Mazza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Montese AD's Oséas de Souza in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 93 minutes of play, Montese AD's Oséas de Souza made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliseu Mazza was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Buritirama SS had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
