Jonathan Peres's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulão Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 16 minutes into the game, Jonathan Peres recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Paulão Massa. Jonathan Peres showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Antônio Carlos Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dênis Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Genílson Netto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Vinhas having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Genílson Netto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cipo SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Antônio Carlos Mota's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulão Massa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Cipo SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Jonathan Peres scored to the left of an out of position Paulão Massa, making the score, 3-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Peres to make the kick off. Paulão Massa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute, Genílson Netto made a precise shot to the right of Toninho Vinhas. dBOA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Eriberto Vargas might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Paulão Massa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eriberto Vargas ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Peres in the 66th minute of play forced Cipo SC's goalkeeper Paulão Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to dBOA FC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Jonathan Peres hit a great ball. Genílson Netto might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toninho Vinhas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Genílson Netto ran back to his position shaking his head. Toninho Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Oliveira in the 72nd minute of play. The supporters of Cipo SC booed when dBOA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. 76 minutes into the match, Cipo SC's Marcinho Lucas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Toninho Vinhas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, dBOA FC's Ronaldo de Souza got a free kick in the 77th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Antônio Carlos Mota managed to get in a good position for a shot. dBOA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Antônio Carlos Mota was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulão Massa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Cipo SC's zone, Jonathan Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. If Antônio Carlos Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, Ronaldo de Souza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
