Anselmo Brasil was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jonathan Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. If Antônio Carlos Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Antônio Carlos Mota came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the dBOA FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antônio Carlos Mota couldn't finish the play. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for dBOA FC! When the match had been going on for 39 minutes, Davinopolis EC's Rafa Damião got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Toninho Vinhas. After a rather tough play, Davinopolis EC's Zé Pedro Macedo got a free kick in the 41st minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Umberto Freire to make the kick off. Umberto Freire struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Toninho Vinhas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Davinopolis EC. Antônio Carlos Mota in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Anselmo Brasil, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 56 minutes into the game, Laerte Falcão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Davinopolis EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave dBOA FC the free kick. Jonathan Peres might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anselmo Brasil. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Peres ran back to his position shaking his head. 66 minutes into the match, Davinopolis EC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Peres came free, but Anselmo Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in dBOA FC's zone, Zé Pedro Macedo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toninho Vinhas came out of the goal and Zé Pedro Macedo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 72nd minute, dBOA FC's Jonathan Peres dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Toninho Vinhas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Bittencourt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Toninho Vinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Freire in the 78th minute of play. Jonathan Peres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anselmo Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathan Peres, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Davinopolis EC's zone, Jonathan Peres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anselmo Brasil came out of the goal and Jonathan Peres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antônio Carlos Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Anselmo Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Davinopolis EC's goalkeeper Anselmo Brasil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antônio Carlos Mota. The dBOA FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Davinopolis EC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
