Capipi SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave lanzoni EC the free kick. Kaká Neiva kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind lanzoni EC's goalkeeper Naldo de Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Donato Barreto put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Elói Bittencourt. Diego da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Elói Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kaká Neiva was shown his second yellow card after 12 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Elói Bittencourt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato Barreto in the 14th minute of the match. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind lanzoni EC's goalkeeper Naldo de Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 19 minutes of play, Capipi SS's Aloísio Penha made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Naldo de Toledo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Nestor Pombal hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 26th minute, Diego da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Capipi SS's Elói Bittencourt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Barreto in the 28th minute of play. Aloísio Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Naldo de Toledo made a huge save. Elói Bittencourt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Donato Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 37th minute, but Naldo de Toledo got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving lanzoni EC hanging dry this time. In the 43rd minute, Paulo José Braga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Aloísio Penha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Naldo de Toledo made a huge save. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aloísio Penha made a kick off. Nestor Pombal kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. A hard shot 59 in the game by Donato Barreto from a close distance when the talented Elói Bittencourt managed to make a qualified save. Capipi SS's players were relieved. Naldo de Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Aloísio Penha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Diego da Costa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elói Bittencourt having to interfere. When lanzoni EC's Donato Barreto in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Capipi SS's goalie prevented a goal. Diego da Costa might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elói Bittencourt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego da Costa ran back to his position shaking his head. Elói Bittencourt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego da Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Joaquim Schmidt hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. The audience held their breath when Paulo José Braga in the 79th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Elói Bittencourt's left hand side. Diego da Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Elói Bittencourt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giuseppe Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aloísio Penha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Naldo de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aloísio Penha in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Capipi SS's goal looked a bit too open when Donato Barreto came free, but Elói Bittencourt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. lanzoni EC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
