Lino Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Amorim's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. After 59 minutes of play, FLAMENGO's Baltazar Mesquita made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gino de Souza was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tony Medeiros might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gino de Souza. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tony Medeiros ran back to his position shaking his head. Gino de Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltazar Mesquita in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Real Ferraz C.F.'s Inácio Carneiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. Inácio Carneiro charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Inácio Carneiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Inácio Carneiro hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match.
