Tomás Sanches might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Angelino Franco. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Sanches ran back to his position shaking his head. Serafim Aguiar made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Moisés Quadros sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute Tomás Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Moisés Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serafim Aguiar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Quadros in the 94th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded SC Corinthians Paulista left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Arabiano Team.
