Marcos Pirani took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 26th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Manuel de Godoy. Santos FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Santiago Martxelin got free with Agostinho Pinheiro in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enrique Argenis in the 32nd minute of play forced Ipeuna AD's goalkeeper Agostinho Pinheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Robert Kornatowski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Agostinho Pinheiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0.
