Silvinho Paulista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umberto Ramalho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ernesto Arce took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvinho Paulista. Silvinho Paulista dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. João Adolfo Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Silvinho Paulista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Catigua SC's goalkeeper Genaro Aragones had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mathias Leal. A collision led to Catigua SC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Chico Campidelis hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Umberto Ramalho during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Umberto Ramalho kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Álvaro Baiano in the 33rd minute of play forced Jeff Lucca FC's goalkeeper Silvinho Paulista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute João Adolfo Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvinho Paulista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chico Campidelis hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. João Adolfo Lima received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. The supporters of Jeff Lucca FC booed when Catigua SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Adolfo Lima didn't get a good kick on the ball. Genaro Aragones showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armando de Lara in the 68th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jeff Lucca FC's zone, Chico Campidelis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho Paulista came out of the goal and Chico Campidelis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Genaro Aragones made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armando de Lara in the 80th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jeff Lucca FC's zone, Umberto Ramalho stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvinho Paulista came out of the goal and Umberto Ramalho tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Umberto Ramalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Catigua SC played a much better game than Jeff Lucca FC and deserved their victory. The Jeff Lucca FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
