The HACKER FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 18th minute Benjamim Mello shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Goiano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hermínio Saldanha made a fantastic save in the 21st minute, when Angelo Viana sent off a good shot on target. Benjamim Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 23 minutes, Gugu Mesquita mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the HACKER FC and the Kraken EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Kraken EC's Vito Ceresso got a free kick in the 26th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Fantini in the 28th minute of play forced Kraken EC's goalkeeper Hermínio Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 32 minutes into the match, Kraken EC's Fábio Meirelles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lauro Goiano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th match minute, Kraken EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Meirelles to maneuver through the defense. When Angelo Viana came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the HACKER FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Angelo Viana couldn't finish the play. Hermínio Saldanha made an important save on a dangerous shot by Angelo Viana in the 39th minute. Benjamim Mello struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Lauro Goiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kraken EC.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Fantini to make the kick off. If Fábio Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hermínio Saldanha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Angelo Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Fábio Meirelles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lauro Goiano read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. In the 62nd minute, Joel Cerezo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 63rd minute Angelo Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Saldanha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fábio Meirelles who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Lauro Goiano when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelo Viana in the 74th minute of play forced Kraken EC's goalkeeper Hermínio Saldanha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hermínio Saldanha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Fantini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Benjamim Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Celsinho Souza got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benjamim Vander kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. If Fábio Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute.
