Clemente Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ademar Faria, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Jorginho Alves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cajubim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Theobroma the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cajubim's Jorginho Alves got a free kick in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Róbson Abraão blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Samuel Silva having to make a save. Cajubim's Clemente Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ademar Faria in the 44th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Cajubim's goalkeeper Clemente Cosme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gernando Barral. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Juvenal Prado made a kick off. Clemente Cosme made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Faria in the 52nd minute of play. Theobroma's Samuel Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbson Abraão in the 53rd minute of play. Clemente Cosme didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ademar Faria went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ademar Faria scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clemente Cosme, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gernando Barral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Samuel Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cajubim.
