Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Souzania SS's Ediberto Prado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Picui's Aírton Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save Picui from getting a goal against them. 5 minutes into the match, Vivaldo Jacinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aírton Veloso. Picui's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Vivaldo Jacinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Márcio Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lino de Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Aírton Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ediberto Prado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Lino de Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Picui's supporters rose to their feet, but Lino de Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Márcio Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute Lino de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Márcio Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vivaldo Jacinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Márcio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino de Barros in the 33rd minute of play. If Ediberto Prado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th match minute, Picui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Eduardo Velasco to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Picui getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Carlos Eduardo Velasco hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Picui's zone, Vivaldo Jacinto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aírton Veloso came out of the goal and Vivaldo Jacinto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lino de Barros succeeded in the game's 44th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. In the 47th minute, Téo Trigo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino de Barros made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Ediberto Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Souzania SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ediberto Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Aírton Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Prado in the 57th minute of the match. Caetano Batista kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Souzania SS's João Vítor Cearense couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 60th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Picui. A collision led to Souzania SS getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. David Loureiro hit a great ball. Márcio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino de Barros in the 66th minute of play. Picui's Aírton Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ediberto Prado in the 69th minute of play. Lino de Barros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Picui booed when Souzania SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Loureiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Márcio Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino de Barros in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Picui's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Jacinto came free, but Aírton Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Souzania SS's Téo Trigo got a free kick in the 81st minute. Souzania SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Lino de Barros 84 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-3. In the 87th match minute, Souzania SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by David Loureiro to maneuver through the defense. Aírton Veloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Prado in the 92nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lino de Barros in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Márcio Costa saved Souzania SS from getting behind. Lino de Barros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Carlos Eduardo Velasco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Márcio Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
