Capaozinho EC's Gláuber Saldanha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save Capaozinho EC from getting a goal against them. 20 minutes into the game, Bernardinho Carneiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Capaozinho EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guerreiros FC the free kick. Bernardinho Carneiro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Gláuber Saldanha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tales Bastos in the 23rd minute of play. Gláuber Saldanha was out of position in the 25 minute of play, and Tales Bastos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tales Bastos really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After 36 minutes of play, Guerreiros FC's Rodriguinho Bezerra made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gláuber Saldanha was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Tales Bastos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guerreiros FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tales Bastos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gláuber Saldanha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

After 56 minutes, Rodriguinho Bezerra made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Capaozinho EC's Gláuber Saldanha tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After 94 played minutes Capaozinho EC got a freekick which was hit by Dorival Botelho. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Capaozinho EC's goalkeeper Gláuber Saldanha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. There was no doubt that Guerreiros FC were the better team. Guerreiros FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
