Spectators: 7063 (Terracing: 5406, Seating: 1657, VIP seats: 0) Jimeno Dolfo started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Jimeno Dolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Olavo Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Potiri's Agnaldo Pombal got a free kick in the 5th minute. Jimeno Dolfo took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Olavo Vergílio. Olavo Vergílio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a little luck, Arapiraca SS's Olavo Vergílio got control of the ball when Jimeno Dolfo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 21st minute, Vivaldo Pinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Arapiraca SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 24th minute, Dagoberto Reis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Potiri were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Arapiraca SS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gustavo de Sena took the corner. After taking down the ball on Potiri's corner Gustavo de Sena fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Olavo Vergílio quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 32 minutes, Gustavo de Sena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potiri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo de Sena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Arapiraca SS's Olavo Vergílio got control of the ball when Christian Veiga tried to sneak it across the goal line. 38 minutes into the match, Potiri's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Reis came free, but Bengt-Åke Kihlman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olavo Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimeno Dolfo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes Potiri got a freekick which was hit by Diamantino Medeiros.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dagoberto Reis was the one to do the kick off. Dagoberto Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Bengt-Åke Kihlman made a huge save. When Sebastião Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Arapiraca SS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sebastião Vieira couldn't finish the play. With his leg Bengt-Åke Kihlman managed to avoid a goal in the 60thth minute, when Arapiraca SS's Delfim Sampaio fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 62 minutes into the game, one of Arapiraca SS:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When Potiri's Jimeno Dolfo in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Arapiraca SS's goalie prevented a goal. Dagoberto Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Bengt-Åke Kihlman made a huge save. Kaká Bittencourt kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. If Dagoberto Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Arapiraca SS's Luiz Fernando Freire got a free kick in the 84th minute. Olavo Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eden Hazard in the 86th minute of the match. In the 88th minute, Eden Hazard made a precise shot to the right of Olavo Vergílio. Arapiraca SS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 90th minute, Paulo Renato Tepedino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jimeno Dolfo in the 94th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Olavo Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bengt-Åke Kihlman was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Luiz Fernando Freire capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luiz Fernando Freire really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. Potiri were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
