The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Benjamin Lopes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Ramalho's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Benjamin Lopes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cleiton Xavier in the 6th minute of the match. Cleiton Xavier's late challenge caught a MARTTY FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cleiton Xavier helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Red BuLL FC getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Cleiton Xavier hit a great ball. José Carlos Salgado struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Vitinho Domingues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MARTTY FC. The throw-in from Raimundo Sena in the 13th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Red BuLL FC's Luiz Sergipano. After having played for 16 minutes, Fernando Ramalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Red BuLL FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Ramalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 18th minute, Miguel Arce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Sílvio Luís Alagoano fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MARTTY FC's protests and gave Sílvio Luís Alagoano a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, MARTTY FC's Sílvio Luís Alagoano got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 36th minute, Válter Tande ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benjamin Lopes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Cleiton Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Sílvio Luís Alagoano was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 42 minutes had been played. Benjamin Lopes was out of position in the 46 minute of play, and Fernando Ramalho capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fernando Ramalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Cleiton Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Benjamin Lopes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Válter Tande sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Cleiton Xavier got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 75 minutes into the match, MARTTY FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Mangueira came free, but Benjamin Lopes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Ramalho in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benjamin Lopes saved MARTTY FC from getting behind. After 83 minutes of play, Red BuLL FC's Fernando Ramalho made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamin Lopes was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Ramalho in the 86th minute of play forced MARTTY FC's goalkeeper Benjamin Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Benjamin Lopes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miguel Arce went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Fernando Ramalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benjamin Lopes having to interfere.
