M A R A N H Ã O A C's Durval Peres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio Cearense in the 18th minute of play. Durval Peres made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Guto Magalhães sent off a good shot on target. 24 minutes into the game, one of Hollywood Esporte Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Igor Maciel hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 41 minutes, Dráuzio Cearense put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Durval Peres. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Dráuzio Cearense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hollywood Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Dráuzio Cearense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Durval Peres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hollywood Esporte Clube walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
