Elpidio Edur made an important save on a dangerous shot by Babhruvahana Waaddegaard in the 25th minute. Elpidio Edur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramón Madureira in the 26th minute of play. After 26 minutes of play, Pombinhos SC's Ramón Madureira made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elpidio Edur was left in no man's land by his defense there! Babhruvahana Waaddegaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ramón Madureira might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elpidio Edur. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ramón Madureira ran back to his position shaking his head. Eugeniusz Wydrych received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Elpidio Edur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Babhruvahana Waaddegaard got free with Elpidio Edur in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Babhruvahana Waaddegaard came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Pombinhos SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Babhruvahana Waaddegaard couldn't finish the play. Eugeniusz Wydrych recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Telmo Galvão fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E PALMEIRAS's protests and gave Telmo Galvão a yellow card for diving instead. After 69 played minutes S.E PALMEIRAS got a freekick which was hit by Telmo Galvão. Elpidio Edur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramón Madureira, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Wiktor Kiewra kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Frédson Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frédson Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albertinho Meira having to interfere. The supporters of Pombinhos SC booed when S.E PALMEIRAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo Galvão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Babhruvahana Waaddegaard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute Ramón Madureira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elpidio Edur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pombinhos SC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
