After 3 played minutes Cururu got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Cordeiro. Eriberto Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Saecinza's Jacinto Donato. But to his dismay, Jacinto Donato quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Trigo in the 9th minute of play forced Saecinza's goalkeeper Giuseppe Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Hermínio Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, Saecinza's goal looked a bit too open when Hermínio Braga came free, but Giuseppe Negri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cururu's Eriberto Rodrigues got control of the ball when Jacinto Donato tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 19th minute Hermínio Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cururu's Eriberto Rodrigues played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilberto Vergílio in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute Gilberto Vergílio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eriberto Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eriberto Rodrigues came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Saecinza's Gernando Trancoso. But to his dismay, Gernando Trancoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Raimundo Trigo scored 3-1 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giuseppe Negri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Saecinza's Gilberto Vergílio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eriberto Rodrigues. That made the score 4-1 after 43 minutes of play. In the 47th minute Hermínio Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Raimundo Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cururu's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Trigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Giuseppe Negri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 53rd minute Hermínio Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With 55 minutes on the clock, Jerônimo Porto commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Saecinza fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 55th minute. Penalty! Gilberto Vergílio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Eriberto Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Saecinza getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Noel Hermes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Eriberto Rodrigues. 5-2. Giuseppe Negri came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by Cururu's Hermínio Braga. But to his dismay, Hermínio Braga quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisinho Duarte during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Cururu's Luisinho Duarte got a free kick in the 80th minute. Eriberto Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Vergílio in the 81st minute of the match. Jonathan Eger kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Gilberto Vergílio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute of the match Geovânio Albuquerque sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eriberto Rodrigues skillfully saved the ball. Danilo Cordeiro hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. In the 93rd minute, Raimundo Trigo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giuseppe Negri was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-4. Gilberto Vergílio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match clock showed 99 minutes, the score became 6-4 when Gilberto Vergílio sped through Cururu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eriberto Rodrigues.
