Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Albertinho Peixoto made the kick off which started today's match. In the 4thth minute of the game Juninho Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cojubim FC's Jonas Meireles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 5 minutes into the game, one of Cojubim FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Juninho Pitta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Jonas Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, Ezequiel Freire had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erivaldo Albuquerque. Araioses's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ezequiel Freire was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Freire got free with Erivaldo Albuquerque in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Araioses's zone, César Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Albuquerque came out of the goal and César Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erivaldo Albuquerque made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ezequiel Freire in the 18th minute. Erivaldo Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Sá in the 22nd minute of play. If Ezequiel Freire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Freire got free with Erivaldo Albuquerque in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. César Sá's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Erivaldo Albuquerque skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers César Sá in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erivaldo Albuquerque saved Araioses from getting behind. Erivaldo Albuquerque showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from César Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. The supporters of Cojubim FC booed when Araioses was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Augusto Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, César Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cojubim FC's supporters rose to their feet, but César Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erivaldo Albuquerque breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 47th match minute, Araioses was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Urbano to maneuver through the defense. In the 50th play minute Ezequiel Freire came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Erivaldo Albuquerque. 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Erivaldo Albuquerque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Sá in the 56th minute of play. The audience was convinced that César Sá's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erivaldo Albuquerque was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Fernandinho Cabral's late challenge caught a Araioses's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fernandinho Cabral helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, Juninho Pitta made a precise shot to the right of Jonas Meireles. Cojubim FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. César Sá received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Erivaldo Albuquerque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Cojubim FC's César Sá in the 85th minute got a chance for a shot 85th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Araioses's goalie prevented a goal. In the 86th match minute, Cojubim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 87 minutes, Albertinho Peixoto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Araioses's supporters crossed their fingers, but Albertinho Peixoto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Ezequiel Freire came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Cojubim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ezequiel Freire couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Araioses's zone, César Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erivaldo Albuquerque came out of the goal and César Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Erivaldo Albuquerque stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of César Sá's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Although Cojubim FC had been in control for most of the match, Araioses still came away with the win.
