Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Douglas Furtados short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Rômulo Jacinto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 11 minutes into the match, Douglas Furtado notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Grêmio Hípica's Rômulo Jacinto. Rômulo Jacinto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aníbal Gomes got free with Rômulo Jacinto in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee felt a red card was in order, 17 minutes into the game, when Manfredo Alves put in a rough tackle. Percival Porto shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Nildo Bastos came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Grêmio Hípica fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nildo Bastos couldn't finish the play. In the 26th match minute, Codozinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agostinho Siqueira to maneuver through the defense. If Douglas Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Aníbal Gomes scored 2-0 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rômulo Jacinto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Rômulo Jacinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Douglas Furtado in the 33rd minute. Douglas Furtado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of Rômulo Jacinto when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Rodrigo Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Grêmio Hípica's Rômulo Jacinto got control of the ball when Rodrigo Sousa tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 46th play minutes Douglas Furtado shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Rômulo Jacinto and just under the crossbar into goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The wind increased when Douglas Furtado made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Douglas Furtado notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Grêmio Hípica's Rômulo Jacinto. Rômulo Jacinto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Douglas Furtado in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rômulo Jacinto saved Grêmio Hípica from getting behind. Rômulo Jacinto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Paraense, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. When the match had gone on for 60 minutes, Douglas Furtado put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Rômulo Jacinto. In the 64th minute, Douglas Furtado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rômulo Jacinto was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-0. Nildo Bastos hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. If Douglas Furtado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Grêmio Hípica's zone, Cléberson Valle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rômulo Jacinto came out of the goal and Cléberson Valle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rômulo Jacinto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Douglas Furtado's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. After 76 minutes, Célio Tepedino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Hípica and the Codozinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Hípica's Célio Tepedino got a free kick in the 77th minute. Douglas Furtado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 88thth minute of the game Douglas Furtado who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Grêmio Hípica's Rômulo Jacinto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Rômulo Jacinto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Denílson Pinheiro went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 8-0 was the resulting score. Douglas Furtado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rômulo Jacinto having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Codozinho FC had played much better football throughout.
