That made the score 1-1 after 12 minutes of play. 16 minutes into the match, Itatiayassu's Nilson Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conrado Montenegro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulo Renato das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ronaldinho Tande struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Conrado Montenegro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Itatiayassu. Cascudo SS's Conrado Montenegro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Cascudo SS from getting a goal against them. Otávio Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Jorge Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ronaldinho Tande to strike the kick off in the second half. Conrado Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldinho Tande in the 61st minute of the match. Ronaldinho Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Conrado Montenegro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Tavares in the 75th minute of play. If Otávio Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. Conrado Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Cascudo SS players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Itatiayassu from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
