The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flávio Nogueira made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Percy Macedo made a precise shot to the right of Zézinho Urbano. Nanuque AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 66th minute Lauro Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zézinho Urbano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zézinho Urbano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lauro Borges in the 75th minute of the match. Gilson Bittencourt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Zézinho Urbano made a huge save. A collision led to Nanuque AD getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Henrique Braga hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Rubinho Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Botafogo-RJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Rubinho Leal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zézinho Urbano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the final whistle sounded Botafogo-RJ left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nanuque AD.
