Recreio's supporters crossed their fingers, but Oswaldo Soares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Oswaldo Soares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Recreio's supporters rose to their feet, but Oswaldo Soares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Róbson Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pedro Luiz Botelho to make the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Benjamin Bezerra made a precise shot to the right of Róbson Valladares. Taurus F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Benjamin Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 63 minutes of play, Taurus F.C's Pedro Luiz Botelho made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Umberto Gaúcho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Umberto Gaúcho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Roger Cosme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Umberto Gaúcho having to interfere. Umberto Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Luiz Botelho in the 79th minute of the match. Róbson Valladares came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Recreio's Oswaldo Soares. But to his dismay, Oswaldo Soares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. When Oswaldo Soares came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Recreio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oswaldo Soares couldn't finish the play. 92 minutes into the match, Recreio's goal looked a bit too open when Roger Cosme came free, but Umberto Gaúcho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Pedro Luiz Botelho got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Recreio played a much better game than Taurus F.C and deserved their victory. The Taurus F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
