Reginaldo Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Porto having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Reginaldo Andrade's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vicente Porto was relentless in the 38th minute of the game. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Vicente Porto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reginaldo Andrade in the 53rd minute of the match. Reginaldo Andrade struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Vicente Porto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Imperial FC. Liverpool FC made a substitution. Délio Tróia replaced Dida Campidelis. Liverpool FC's Vicente Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reginaldo Andrade in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matheus Paiva in the 65th minute of play forced Liverpool FC's goalkeeper Vicente Porto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Imperial FC's Ulisses Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Imperial FC from getting a goal against them. In the 67th match minute, Imperial FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Pedro Favoretto to maneuver through the defense. If Lúcio Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 89 played minutes Imperial FC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Paiva. Lúcio Travassos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Ulisses Torres made a huge save. A collision led to Imperial FC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. João Pedro Favoretto hit a great ball. After 95 played minutes Imperial FC got a freekick which was hit by Matheus Paiva. Lúcio Travassos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 97thth minute, Ulisses Torres skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
