Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bruninho Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 12th minute of the match, but Fernandinho Araújo made a huge save. 15 minutes into the match, Corrente's Bruninho Quirino sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fernandinho Araújo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bruninho Quirino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 17thth minute tested the skills of Fernandinho Araújo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 20th minute, Corrente's Ciro Paraense ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fernandinho Araújo. Fernandinho Araújo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Bruninho Quirino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Fernandinho Araújo made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciro Paraense in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernandinho Araújo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruninho Quirino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 29 minutes into the match, Berimbau's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Paraense came free, but Fernandinho Araújo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Ciro Paraense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corrente's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciro Paraense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fernandinho Araújo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Corrente's Delfim Amaral got a free kick in the 33rd minute. The Berimbau fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Berimbau's Pedro Luiz Travassos looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 37th minute Ciro Paraense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fernandinho Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bruninho Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. The audience was convinced that Ciro Paraense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fernandinho Araújo was relentless in the 40th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ciro Paraense to make the kick off. Fernandinho Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruninho Quirino in the 58th minute of the match. Pedro Luiz Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernandinho Araújo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruninho Quirino in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rdth minute of the game Ciro Paraense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Berimbau's Fernandinho Araújo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ciro Paraense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Corrente's Bruninho Quirino in the 98th minute got a chance for a shot 98th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Berimbau's goalie prevented a goal. Corrente walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
