Guata's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ipueirinha the free kick. After 3 played minutes Guata got a freekick which was hit by Fernão Furtado. Leandro Martins hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. In the 7th minute of the match Fernão Furtado shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Washington Leão showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 10 minutes into the match, Laércio Paranaense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Washington Leão. Ipueirinha's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Laércio Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 21 played minutes Ipueirinha got a freekick which was hit by Tostão Barreto. Washington Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cipriano Meirelles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Laércio Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Guata fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Laércio Paranaense couldn't finish the play. In the 29th minute, João Francisco Chaves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ipueirinha's zone, Laércio Paranaense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Washington Leão came out of the goal and Laércio Paranaense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Guata's Bartosz Domin got a free kick in the 36th minute. Bolívar Guedes hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Armando Netto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipueirinha's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Netto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafinha Campidelis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 48th minute, Cipriano Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. João Francisco Chaves was the one to do the kick off. Laércio Paranaense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Washington Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Ipueirinha getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Cauan Lopez hit a great ball. In the 66th minute of the match, João Francisco Chaves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rafinha Campidelis saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Abdulhamit İkbal charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abdulhamit İkbal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Guata's Abdulhamit İkbal got a free kick in the 70th minute. Abdulhamit İkbal came free in the 74th minute and tried to tip the ball over Washington Leão, but to the joy of Ipueirinha's supporters the ball went over. Rafinha Campidelis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tostão Barreto in the 76th minute of play. In the 77th minute Tostão Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Campidelis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Netto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 81st minute of the match Miguel Quirino sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafinha Campidelis skillfully saved the ball. If Laércio Paranaense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ipueirinha's zone, Cipriano Meirelles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Washington Leão came out of the goal and Cipriano Meirelles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Guata fans cheered their team off the field, for while Ipueirinha had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
