The audience was convinced that Zeca de Brito's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Christiano Martins was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 26th minute, Afonsinho Velasco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caco de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Régis Alvarenga was the one to do the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Unidos F C's Dino Mota slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Armando Massa. That made the score 0-3 after 59 minutes of play. If Régis Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Jaboticabas! Armando Massa had in the 67thth minute some difficulties stopping Didi Varela's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. With a little luck, Jaboticabas's Armando Massa got control of the ball when Caco de Almeida tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Caco de Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Jaboticabas's Clemente Félix got a free kick in the 78th minute. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Régis Alvarenga put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Armando Massa. After 83 minutes, Clemente Félix mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jaboticabas and the Unidos F C players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jaboticabas getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Clemente Félix hit a great ball. When Erik Hoffmann fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jaboticabas's protests and gave Erik Hoffmann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th minute, Dino Mota got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Régis Alvarenga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Armando Massa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 100th minute, Caco de Almeida made a precise shot to the right of Armando Massa. Jaboticabas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. When the final whistle sounded Unidos F C left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Jaboticabas.
