Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Régis Alvarenga got the match started through his kick off. 4 minutes into the game, one of Sertania:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 14th minute Régis Alvarenga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caco de Almeida in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zé Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis Alvarenga in the 16th minute of the match. Sandro Araújo's late challenge caught a Unidos F C's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sandro Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Unidos F C booed when Sertania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandro Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Régis Alvarenga in the 28th minute of the match. A collision led to Sertania getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Sandro Araújo hit a great ball. When Tomás Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Zé Rodrigues was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Caco de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zé Rodrigues having to make a save. Thanks to some nice moves Caco de Almeida could shoot a difficult shot in the 59th minute, which Zé Rodrigues however easily saved by the left post. In the 60th minute, one of Sertania:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sertania. Didi Varela shot the penalty kick right outside the post. When Unidos F C's Régis Alvarenga in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sertania's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Sertania's Caio Senna got a free kick in the 64th minute. When Caco de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Unidos F C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco de Almeida couldn't finish the play. Régis Alvarenga might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Rodrigues. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Régis Alvarenga ran back to his position shaking his head. Caco de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the game, Sertania's Gil Britto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiano Martins made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 88th minute Gil Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christiano Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sertania's zone, Flavinho Meira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Rodrigues came out of the goal and Flavinho Meira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Régis Alvarenga fell near the penalty area in the 94th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Unidos F C's protests and gave Régis Alvarenga a yellow card for diving instead. In the 94th minute, Régis Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
